TRIP REPORT | Perfect Flight on the Biggest 787 | Abu Dhabi to Kuala Lumpur | ETIHAD Boeing 787-10

Описание: Etihad Trip Report flying from Abu Dhabi to Kuala Lumpur onboard one of the Etihad Boeing 787 Dreamliner on a beautiful winter day.

A comfortable flight from Abu Dhabi to Kuala Lumpur onboard Etihad's Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner on a perfect night and day over Southern Asia.

We started our journey with the most incredible view I've ever had of an airport: the first impression of Abu Dhabi's new Terminal A, still outside the building, leaving you without words. It is enormous, not only in width but particularly in height: to see the top of the building you'll reach your neck's maximum deflection. Just incredible for such a gigantic building.

After visiting the main parts of the airport and doing some planespotting, we boarded the Boeing 787 that would take us to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We took off from runway 31R, which means exactly towards Abu Dhabi downtown. The views of it, including the area of the Formula 1 circuit and all the Bay were stunning.

We made a 180° turn and set course towards Muscat, flying in parallel to the Oman coast. From there we entered the Indian Ocean. We entered India to the south of Mumbai and crossed it in the darkness of the night. We left Bengaluru on our right and entered the Bay of Bengal.

We crossed the Gulf of Bengal flying towards the Strait of Malaca, one of the most important cargo ship paths in the world. The Sunrise took place somewhere over the Bay of Bengal. After a nice overfly of Sumatra (Indonesia) and the city of Kuala Lumpur, we landed on time in Kuala Lumpur after a nice approach.

About the catering service, around 1h after takeoff the crew offered the dinner. I must say it was one of the best dinners I had on a plane in a long time: the potato salad was amazing, the chicken with rice spiced with Indian spices was superb, and the dessert was the perfect final touch.

2 hours before arrival, a pre-landing snack was served. In this case, it was some kind of warm vegetable pastry and a mousse dessert, together with drinks.
