Описание:
On April 24, 1915, the Ottoman government arrested 235 Armenian intellectuals in Constantinople. It was the opening act of what became the Armenian Genocide — the killing of an estimated 1.5 million Armenians between 1915 and 1923. This is the case that drove Raphael Lemkin to coin the word "genocide" in 1944, and the case the international system has been least willing to apply that word to ever since.
A 19-minute documentary on how it began, what it became, and why a hundred and ten years later Turkey still does not call it by its name.
