At today's Net Zero, Energy and Transport Committee minister Neil Gray couldn't answer when ferry 801 will be in service for CALMAC.
Mr Gray pointed out that at the end of September Ferguson Marine's CEO, David Tydeman, will update the committee.
Regulation changes for crew escapes were cited as the main problem for the most recent delays on 801.
