Modi Arrives at Jind Railway Station to a Cheering Crowd

During his speech, PM Modi highlighted how the transformation of Indian Railways over the past 12 years has strengthened India's energy security. Referring to the ongoing tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, he said that if such a crisis had occurred before 2014, Indian Railways would have faced severe disruptions because a large part of the network depended on diesel. He noted that with nearly 99% of the railway network now electrified, train operations have continued smoothly despite global uncertainties.

The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development projects worth around ₹14,700 crore in Haryana before heading to Chandigarh and Punjab for additional infrastructure projects.
