We camped surrounded by tall trees deep in the forest , with the calming sounds of night crickets, woodpeckers tapping gently on tree trunks, geese chirping at a nearby lake, and the cozy crackle of our fire.

As night fell, we experienced the beauty  of the deep forest — the rhythm of crickets, subtle fire crackling from the wood stove, and even the soothing patter of unexpected heavy rain at midnight.
