Justinus Church, in Frankfurt Höchst

Описание: The Justinus Church in Höchst is one of the oldest churches in Germany. Records show it was built and consecrated around 820-850. Much of the original structure is still there and when you go inside, you will be able to see this. It is a wonderful example of Karolingen architecture, but has some beautiful baroque altars and organ.
This is one of my favorite churches. Open in the winter only on weekends from 14:00-16:00 but April through Oct. weekdays 14:00-17:00.

If you are walking the Camino/Jakobsweg through Germany on the route that goes through Frankfurt, this church is one of the stops where you can get your Pilgrim Pass stamped. We occasionally do Camino walks and this is one of our stops.
Visit the garden behind the church too, as it shows what the Antoniter monks grew to heal Ergotism.
