“I don’t know how to not get back up; I never learned, and I wouldn’t want to.

My life: possibly a succession of tiny tragedies or perhaps they were but droplets of opportunity accumulated; unforeseen and indiscernible.
Each drop building my strong exterior, an unassailable tenacity, emboldening my flesh so that my tenderhearted insides may be protected.
Now, I hang these droplets of tragedy on my fence boldly with conviction.

My human armor no longer needing to bear the weight of these experienced calamities like a backpack filled with forsaken promises.
Exposed, relieved, relinquished in the name of an open heart. Forging ahead. Onward!
