#Bruges (Dutch: #Brugge) is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish Region of Belgium, in the northwest of the country, and the sixth-largest city of the country by population.
Bruges Beer Experience (Biermuseum, Bruges Beer Museum) - the bar and its 16 different kinds of beer. It is open to everyone and has a great view over the Market Square.

The Basilica of the Holy Blood (Dutch: Heilig-Bloedbasiliek, French: Basilique du Saint-Sang) is a Roman Catholic basilica in Bruges, Belgium. The church houses a relic of the Holy Blood allegedly collected by Joseph of Arimathea and brought from the Holy Land by Thierry of Alsace, Count of Flanders. Built between 1134 and 1157 as the chapel of the Count of Flanders, it was promoted to a minor basilica in 1923.
The basilica in Burg square consists of a lower and upper chapel. The lower chapel, dedicated to St. Basil the Great, is a dark Romanesque structure that remains virtually unchanged. The venerated Passion relic is in the upper chapel, which was rebuilt in the Gothic style in the 16th century and renovated in the 19th century in Gothic Revival style.

Queen Astrid Park (Koningin Astrid Park)
Right in the heart of the city, near the Fish Market and Burg Square and in the shadow of Saint Magdalene’s Church, lies this glorious botanical park. And although Queen Astrid park is blessed with many imposing trees, it contains numerous other treasures. From the pond with its fountain, through a colourful romantic kiosk to a large playground where Bruges’ little ones can push their limits. There are abundant benches and chairs where you can sit to enjoy all this beauty.

Heilige Magdalenakerk (St Magdalene’s Church)
The St. Magdalene’s Church, built in the mid-19th century, was one of the earliest neo-Gothic churches on the European mainland. This style of architecture, first made popular in England, was brought to Bruges by British immigrants. That is how the neo-Gothic appeared in the streets of Bruges quite early. Inside the church you can make your acquaintance with YOT, an organization that explores the meaning of the Christian tradition in modern society.

#Gentpoort (Gate of Ghent, Gentpoortbrug)
The Gate of Ghent is one of four remaining medieval city gates. An entrance for foreigners, a border with the outside world for the townspeople of Bruges. The gate was a part of the city’s defences as well as a passageway for the movement of produce and merchandise. Note the statue in the niche above the roadway: this is Saint Adrian, who was believed to protect the city during times of plague. The Ghent Gate is at its most beautiful in the evening, when it is quite literally in the spotlight.

#Minnewaterpark (Lake of Love Park)
The city feels far, far away from the Lake of love park. This delightful park to the south of the historical centre is tucked between the green Ramparts and the graceful Lake of love. A short stroll away lies the hushed Beguinage. Or the place where the residents of Bruges relax with grass beneath their feet. With so many intimate garden spaces that you get the wonderful feeling of having the park all to yourself.

#Poertoren (Poertoren en Minnewaterbrug - Gunpowder Tower and the Lovers' Bridge)
The imposing Gunpowder Tower is located next to the Lovers' Bridge and is an impressive 18 metres tall. This defensive tower was built in 1397. At the beginning of the 15th century, another smaller tower was built on the opposite side of the bridge. Together, these two towers formed the Waterpoort (Water Gate). The ‘big tower’, as the Gunpowder Tower is sometimes known, stood the test of time and was converted into a gunpowder store, giving it its name which is still used today. At the foot of the tower is the Gunpowder Tower Park, a hidden, peaceful spot which can be accessed via the metal staircase next to the tower.
