Recorded from Roger's 3rd round match at BNP Paribas Open 2018, against Filip Krajinovic. Some of the points were edited in slow motion. I just cannot stop admiring Roger's movements and balance. Just would like to share.
Compared to my other slow-mo video of Thiem, you can see the difference in the strokes of the two players, especially in the forehands. Roger's body weight is always leaning forward, led with the shoulder turn. Dominic tends to fall backwards as the swing progresses. I think this is why Roger does not have to take an violent swing to make a shot of the same effect.
Apologies for the tilted video. I just can't get it straight.
