BREAKING: Ottawa to use regulation to ban handgun imports

Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino and Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly announced the measure this morning. The move will come into effect in two weeks, on August 19. The import ban will stay in place until the new gun control legislation, Bill C-21, comes into force.
