3526 - initial return to service - 2004

Описание: After being out of service for many years, 3526 underwent an extensive restoration during 2003.
Just on sunset on Saturday March 1st, the locomotive went for its first run, hauling a small group of passengers along the Thirlmere loop line. Some more work was performed on the loco over the following few weeks, then on Sunday March 21st, 3526 worked a number of heavy load trials on the loop line, assisted by 1210.
The loco was then used on a couple of tours, but it was not until Saturday July 17th, 2004 that t3526 was officially welcomed back into service, when it worked a number of trips between Central and the now closed Rozelle goods yard assisted by 3112.
