Late October and early November, is jacaranda season, and it's during this time that Sydney bursts into the colour purple as the trees flower to signal the arrival of Spring.
The jacaranda tree is native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas, but has been planted around the world, not just in Australia but also New Zealand, Pakistan, Nepal, India, many parts of Africa, Portugal and Spain, to name a few locations.
These trees were filmed in and around Sydney, including but not limited to these locations:
McDougall Street, Kirribilli
Circular Quay, Sydney
University of Sydney Campus, Camperdown
Alexandra Drive, Camperdown
Royal Prince Alfred Hospital grounds, Camperdown
Victoria Park, Broadway
Bay Street, Glebe
