Years back, there was a fellow with a channel called, " Old Farts Are People Too "
He made a heater from an old tin paint can, a lantern wick, and kerosene.
After watching Mors Kochanski, and listening to him talk about the bennifits of candles, alway one in his kit, I started experimenting with Candles.
I noticed that when a wick would melt the wax, if it didn't have a way to fall away from the flame, it would pool and put out the flame. The flame couldn't burn off the melted wax fast enough.
So I used Hotter Wicks, helped some, but no cigar!
So I ordered some lantern wick, and tried different size wicks, and different materials, like fiberglass wicks.
So far the cotton lantern wicks will burn hot enough to burn the molten wax as a liquid fuel. Main negative on that? Is getting it started in the first place.
I've got a few work around on that as well.
For another video!
