After Letby’s former colleagues insisted that CCTV surveillance was installed on the neonatal ward, when it was rumoured she might return to her position after an initial suspension, we are asking - should all hospitals have CCTV, in order to protect their patients? Another question that has arisen from the trial is whether Letby was ‘born evil’, due to the seemingly pleasant, nurturing nature she presented to colleagues and families in her role at the hospital. Gloria doesn’t believe that people are born evil, but they can turn out to be and it’s hard to determine the factors that contribute to this chilling change.
