Over 460 khejri trees have been preserved by using smart solar panel layouts that avoid obstruction, proving that sustainable planning and clean energy can go hand-in-hand.

At a time when tree mafias are colluding with some solar developers to illegally cut khejri trees—cashing in on their religious, ritualistic, and furniture value—this initiative stands tall as a model of environmental responsibility.

The khejri tree is the lifeline of the Thar desert. It sustains local ecology, provides animal fodder, maintains ground moisture, offers shade during scorching summers, and is deeply rooted in Rajasthani culture and religious traditions.
