Zara X Clark's Boat Shoes - A Fancy Wallabee with Crepe Sole?

However, with the inclusion of Zara, a brand known for pushing boundaries in design, these shoes possess several distinguishing features that make them truly one-of-a-kind.

The most apparent distinction lies in the upper material. Instead of traditional suede or nubuck, cow fur was meticulously chosen for constructing the upper. What makes this pair truly remarkable is that the natural patterns of the fur have been preserved, ensuring that each shoe is truly unique, just like individual snowflakes. Despite the fur's thinness, there's no need to worry about overheating while wearing them. Moreover, the fur possesses a natural shine that adds to its exquisite allure, especially when illuminated. Personally, I find the combination of white and brown quite captivating, reminiscent of the wonders found in nature. With brown being an earth-tone color, it adds a raw, organic feel to the pair, making it less artificial. The lining consists of 78% cow leather, 12% cotton, and 10% polyamide, while the insole is 100% cow leather and can be easily removed for cleaning. The sole, crafted entirely from rubber, deviates from the slim profile crepe sole found on Wallabees, opting for a more substantial and chunky design. This choice offers enhanced stability, but it also means the shoes are heavier and guaranteed to draw attention due to their imposing presence.

As for the fit, I must admit they run a bit loose. Despite acquiring my true size 10, I experience noticeable movement in the shoes with every step. Fortunately, the four eyelets design allows for adjustments, granting the option to tighten them when necessary. While the shoes offer initial comfort, I haven't tested them extensively for long-distance wear. Therefore, it's possible that they may require some breaking in to reach their optimal level of comfort.

All things considered, this pair undoubtedly qualifies as a statement piece of high-quality footwear. The distinctive upper material and chunky soles set them apart from the classic wallabies. Shoe collectors will appreciate the rarity and uniqueness this pair brings to their collection, as it's not often one encounters such extraordinary offerings on the market. However, a simpler and more understated pair may be better suited for individuals seeking more versatility in their footwear, allowing for easier outfit coordination.
