Hands-on demonstration of how to discharge a battery using the built-in test function of the Elektro-Automatik 9000 DT / ELR / PSB series of electronic loads. Visit https://www.EAPowered.com/elr for regenerative and conventional EA electronic loads.
We start by setting up our power supply to simulate a battery that is discharging into the load. On our 9000 DT electronic load we've got our battery test function and can select static or dynamic. Dynamic does basically two different static tests and it will switch between two different discharge limits.
We'll start off discharging the battery between 10 amps and 2 amps so those would be the two power levels we're going to discharge at, not exceeding 5,000 watts.
