She spent her early career as an advisor and debt counsellor for the Citizens Advice Bureaux, a free UK advice service, before transitioning into supportive housing, where she worked with people experiencing homelessness. After two decades, she changed direction and retrained as a hypnotherapist, specialising in working with clients with trauma. She studied Psychology and Sociology (BSc Hons.) and has since helped thousands of clients regain their sense of power and safety. Now retired from hypnotherapy, Julie is the author of 7 books, including the best-selling series 'From Hoping to Having.'
