One of the biggest draws to angling is the element of the unknown, it’s often a key aspect as to why many anglers were drawn to the pastime at a young age. The thought of what lies beneath is something that can offer a real thrill. As the years have ticked on by, finding a lake with a stock which is relatively unknown is very rare but there are a few venues that can still offer this commodity.
Myles Gibson was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to fish a vast venue known as the Ski Pit, with a stock that contained a few known fish, as well as some complete mysteries. He of course jumped at the chance and we managed to follow him every step of the way. The venue didn’t come without its challenges, but as always Myles overcame the odds and came away with an impressive tally of fish from the rarely fished oasis.
