Описание: Loomer is a dual pedal featuring a muff-style fuzz and unique reverb algorithms aimed squarely at shoegaze players. These influences far exceed the pedal’s artwork and name (being a reference to a My Bloody Valentine track). Loomer recreates popular digital effects found in the Yamaha SPX90, Alesis Midiverb II, and Yamaha FX500, consolidating them into a much more manageable unit than their rack-based origins.

The fuzz side has a typical three knob configuration with a switch that allows you to choose between three voices: Full, Scoop, or Flat. The names of these voices indicate their uses well, with Full retaining plenty of low-end, Scoop having a “scooped mids” sound, and Flat having a flatter response. Though we have three choices here, these fuzz sounds truly are the same fuzz voiced in different ways.

The reverb side of the pedal offers three distinct effects: Focus, Reverse, and Hall. Focus is based on Soft Focus from the Yamaha FX500; an effect that stacks reverb, dual delays, and chorus to create a swirling pool of sound. Reverse is inspired by sounds found in the Yamaha SPX90 and Alesis Midiverb. Keeley describes this mode as more of a “swelling echo” effect. However you describe it, in my opinion, it’s the stand out effect. Lastly, Hall reverb brings us back down to Earth for a moment. At least, until the ascending octave shimmer sounds are in play. Each of these effects brings something to the table and are a lot of fun to explore.

Loomer supports expression, which can be really handy while deciding how much modulation, pitch-bending, or shimmer you want applied to your sound. It’s also notable that Loomer has an Order Switch, allowing players to swap the order of the effects depending on their preference. Loomer really is an all-in-one shoegaze machine.
