In July 1957, a U.S. Air Force RB-47 reconnaissance aircraft was flying a classified mission when its crew encountered something they couldn’t see—but could clearly track.
Electronic countermeasures systems began detecting a powerful signal that moved intelligently around the aircraft.
Radar operators watched it pace the plane, change position, and reappear hundreds of miles away—far beyond the capabilities of known technology at the time.
Multiple systems confirmed the anomaly.
Visual contact was never made.
But the object responded to maneuvers, tracked the aircraft for over 1,000 miles, and vanished only after intercept attempts failed.
The case was officially investigated by Project Blue Book and classified as “unidentified.”
