Video for Elderberry Syrup

   • Large Batch of Elderberry Syrup Making for...  

Eldeberry Syrup Recipe (I use a 16 quart SS pot)
Two gallons of distilled water
7 cups of elderberries
Two thumb sized pieces of organic ginger
1 Tablespoon of ginger powder
10 Tablespoons of Ceylon cinnamon
1 Tablespoon of whole cloves
1 Tablespoon of clove powder
Approximately 2-3 cinnamon sticks (break in half if you can)
11 cups of honey (added after cooled and berries strained and pressed)
Bring the water and Elderberries and spices to a boil, simmer until the water evaporates to at least two inches from starting point. Then allow to sit with lid cracked to allow moisture to escape while cooling.

Then add your honey store in the refrigerator in glass jars. Will last up to a year in the refrigerator.

The honey is an amazing preservative in itself plus has so many healthy properties.

Do not ever give honey to infants under one year of age. There are botulism spores naturally in honey and infants to not have the ability in the stomach to defend themselves against the spores.

Whenever I feel a sickness coming on I will drink a 1/4 cup or more until I’m well

Standard does are 1/2 to 1 tsp. For children and 1/2 to 1 Tablespoon for adults
