Skipton Castle is a Grade 1 listed from medieval times. Built in 1090, the castle has stood strong for over 930 years.
A near perfect defensive structure due it its location on a cliff, it survived numerous attacks, wars and political machinations.
Today, the castle is roughly in two sections. One half for visitors to explore, one half lived in as a private residence.
