A project grounded in the “why” of architecture, shaping a place through a dialogue between people, climate, history, and landscape before any form emerges. Dwelling is understood as protection, continuity, and reconnection with natural and built environments, where light, air, sound, materiality, and volume act as primary design instruments.
The MCM residence reinterprets Mid-Century Modernism through spatial, climatic, and contextual intelligence, prioritizing human-centered multisensory experience over rigid typologies. Local Mediterranean and recyclable materials integrate with native vegetation, while landscape operates as an active architectural element. Water surfaces function as bioclimatic devices, enabling passive cooling and enriching spatial experience.
Situated on a 2,000 m² plot with panoramic city and sea views, the residence includes a single-level villa and a two-level guesthouse annex. A continuous load-bearing wall mediates road noise, organizing circulation and separating private from collective zones, while water at the entrance forms a threshold extending toward the sea-oriented pool.
