Here's what matters: ignore everyone telling you to buy a Mac Mini for £1000. That's nonsense. I'm running mine on a $5/month server in Germany, and it works brilliantly for most tasks. You could use an old laptop or even a Raspberry Pi. The real power isn't in the hardware—it's that you can train it, give it persistent memory, set up cron jobs, and let it work autonomously. I'm using it with Claude Max (£200/month), but you can connect it to local models to avoid the costs. Just don't give it full access to your computer unless you know what you're doing. This could be genuinely transformative if you're thoughtful about how you deploy it.
