This model was made to the exacting specifications provided by Eric Clapton, based on the guitar he used during his legendary MTV unplugged show. Since its introduction in 1996 this model has grown to be one of the top selling Martin guitars of all time. The 000 model features the same basic shape as the OM or Orchestra Model, only with a shorter scale length of 24.9 inch. 

The shorter scale length in combination with the mahogany Modified-V shaped neck, the 1.77 inch nutwidth and 2.28 inch string spacing make for an extremely comfortable playing experience, perfectly suited for fingerstyle players.
