On a cloudy winter day, I hiked to Jug Island in Belcarra Regional Park near Vancouver, BC.
This trail has quite a few stair sections, which make the hike a bit more challenging — but also more rewarding. Along the way, we came across a beautiful natural scene that made us stop for a while.
From the top of a large rock, water was slowly dripping down, drop by drop. The combination of the moss-covered stone and the gentle sound of dripping water created such a peaceful and magical atmosphere. We paused there for a few minutes, just watching and appreciating this quiet winter moment.
The moody sky, the calm ocean views, and the peaceful forest made this hike feel cinematic in its own way.
If you enjoy winter hiking and discovering small hidden details along the trail, Jug Island is definitely worth visiting.
