Look, I'm a HARDKORE King K. Rool fan. He's not only my favorite DKC kharacter (alongside Diddy K.) but also my favorite villain of all-time. He ain't that komplicated. He just wants that damn banana hoard so he kan starve the Kongs and kill them through hunger, & he's also a huge fan of kosplaying too. Bro had one goal, and he strived to do it in any koolest way he possibly kould. Dude outklasses Goro Majima when it comes to being a Kaptain, he outklasses Wily when it komes to being a scientist, and he makes Balrog shit his pants when it comes to boxing. This dude got all the skills.

No joke, I almost shed a tear when I saw him get into Smash 'kuz that's my guy!! The goat! He was dead for so long and Masahiro Sakurai saw the Smash Ballot polls and said "fuck it" and brought him back from the dead. No joke, I would've probs mained Ken (given I main him in every other game he's in), but K. Rool getting into Smash made Ken, for the 1st time ever, my secondary.

Donkey Kong Country 1 is a really good game. Even though I consider it the weakest of the SNES trilogy, it was a really good start for the greatest video game trilogy of all-time. My only major issue is that the game's quality assurance dips once you reach the 2nd half of the game. Like the first three worlds had some consistently amazing level design, but the 2nd half lacked that consistency and the final world in the game felt VERY anti-climatic. It's not like all the levels were bad, but most of them were just mid-AF. Also, the bosses suck ass. They're such a pushover in a game that was supposed to be very challenging, though shoutouts to the GBA version for attempting to make them more difficult (and it almost working for most of them).

Obviously, I prefer the 2nd game way WAY more (it's quite literally my favorite game of all-time), and I also think DKC3 is almost as good as DKC2.
