Street Fighter 6 - In Search of a Main: Ryu - Gold 1 - Back to Basics

Описание: Video series of me trying out the different characters in Street Fighter 6 to find a main. The trial period for each character will be 150 ranked matches and 100 wins for any type of matches to make sure that I have had time to figure out what works best for which playstyle. If it is taking me longer to figure out, then I will have more time since I will most likely be losing more if I don't play the characters correctly. These are very long videos which I will try to include all the process needed to get used to the new character: learning basic combos to more advanced combos, hitting the lab, practicing inputs, going through the guides and combo trials.
I am starting off with Ryu since he is the poster boy of the Street Fighter 6 franchise and the very basic and fundamental character of the game. Ryu was also the character I have been practicing in when the SF6 Demo and Open Beta was out, so it was natural to see the return in the time I have invested into this character. Since Ryu most of the tools most characters have, it will also allow me to figure out what type of play I enjoy the most and find a character that specializes more in that playstyle.
In this video, I am trying to get past Gold 1 especially since I am barely Gold 1 at this point. I would have deranked to Silver 5 if it was allowed. This plateau let me take a step back and find any potential optimization with my playstyle to take me to the next rank. In poarticularly, I was focusing on the fireball and anti air game some more, focusing on throwing out fast buttons if they get close in range for those.

For context, I started off playing fighting games with Guilty Gear: Strive. I started off with Gio and then transitioned to Sol. I also tried out May, I-no, and Ky once I was able to challenge a Celestial to try the different playstyles. I was able to challenge a celestial for all of the characters mentioned before.
I then transitioned to Tekken 7 to try my hand in a 2.5D fighting game. I tried out Bob since I thought he was cool while still being a Mishima, which I think is one of the distinct things that Tekken has. I got to Brawler with Bob.
I then tried out Street Fighter 5 when SF6 was announced. I picked Cammy since she was a rushdown which fit how I played at the time. I got to Silver with Cammy.
