How to cook Fried Okra Liberian style

Cooking fryed-okra stew, with Modern Cook, Liberian style!

Fried Okra:
Ingredients:
-2 pounds of fresh okra
-oil
-medium onion
-1 habanero pepper
-Tomato paste(optional)
-Protein of choice (shrimp, smoked turkey, cow feet, meat)
-2 Maggie cube
-All season
-Salt
Wash and cut okra into medium pieces. Use a cutting board for easier cutting. After all the okra is done
cutting, slice onion on top of cut okra. In an empty pot, apply generous amounts of oil and bring to the
fire. Once oil is hot, fry protein one at a time, try not to fry them too dry. In the same oil, add cut okra
with onion and hot pepper, mix and cover and allow to fry for about 10 minutes. Check and mix
occasionally to prevent burning. After about 20 minutes of frying (okra is mashed up, oil is settling on
the top), reduce heat to low, add all seasoning, salt, tomato paste and mix very well. Add protein and
mix to combine fried okra with protein. Cover and mix occasionally to prevent burning and allowing
everything to cook together. (Try the source for taste and feel free to add salt and pepper to taste).
After about 10 minutes, turn fire off and allow to cool down. Serve with any side of choice, white rice
usually makes the perfect meal. Enjoy
