The STR-1 engine in the #Korg #Kronos & #Nautilus workstations is a superbly powerful physical modelling sound synthesis engine - especially as its #sounddesign capabilities go WAY BEYOND the "typical" use cases of plucked string sound synthesis.
This video exemplifies what can be done with it when used in non-typical fashion - i.e. for creating sounds that are eminently different from the usual plucked string type sounds.
Hopefully the 3 examples of custom patches, with some discussion of the STR-1 parameters, will be useful for your own experiments.
