⚙️ Who is Laduguer, The Exile in Dungeons & Dragons?
Laduguer is the grim and merciless god of the duergar, ruling over toil, conquest, slavery, and relentless discipline. Cold, calculating, and utterly unforgiving, he teaches that survival is earned through labor, endurance, and domination over the weak.
🛠️ Domains & Symbolism
Domains: Toil, Order, Conquest, Slavery, Endurance.
His holy symbol is a broken arrow or stylized hammer, representing the breaking of enemies and the forging of strength through suffering.
Laduguer embodies iron will, emotional suppression, and the belief that mercy is a flaw exploited by the strong.
🏗️ Worship & Followers
His worshipers are duergar taskmasters, slavers, war-leaders, and tyrants who see the world as a resource to be exploited.
Clerics of Laduguer oversee labor camps, mines, and forges, driving workers—slave and free alike—until only the strongest remain.
Shrines are found in deep caverns, iron fortresses, and oppressive cities of stone, where chants of labor echo endlessly.
⛓️ Teachings & Doctrine
Hardship is the crucible of strength. Comfort breeds weakness.
All beings exist either to labor or to command labor.
Obedience is survival; rebellion is annihilation.
Emotion clouds judgment. Endurance is purity.
🌑 Legacy & Influence
Laduguer’s faith shapes duergar society into a rigid hierarchy where worth is measured by productivity and obedience.
His followers believe that the world is a forge, and all who live upon it are raw material.
Even other dark gods regard Laduguer as joyless and brutal—but effective, for his followers never rest and never relent.
To follow Laduguer is to embrace suffering as strength, to crush resistance through endurance, and to believe that through endless toil, domination is inevitable.

Lyrics:
Hammer falls in hollow halls,
The gray flame burns, the anvil calls.
We are the castoffs, the cursed, the betrayed,
Forged in the silence the surface forbade.
Betrayed, exiled, left in the gloom,
We built our strength in our stone-hewn tomb.
Praise Lah-duh-gwur, the Forger in Chains,
The Silent Father who suffers, who reigns.
No joy, no light, no mercy, no song—
Only the will to endure the wrong.
Endure the wrong, endure the flame,
We labor forever in Lah-duh-gwur’s name.
No god heard our cries in the Underdark cold,
Save the Exile, grim and bold.
He taught us toil, he taught us pain,
And from the stone, we rose again.
From fire and lash, from darkness born,
We shape the world though our hands are worn.
Praise Lah-duh-gwur, the Forger in Chains,
The Silent Father who suffers, who reigns.
No rest, no warmth, no mortal reprieve—
Only the strength that the faithless leave.
Faithless fall, the strong remain,
We grind the world in the Exile’s name.
By pick and forge, by blood and blight,
We carve his will from endless night.
The gray flame hungers, the hammer sings—
Obedience is the crown of kings.
Crown of kings, of slaves, of stone,
We kneel, but the world shall atone.
Praise Lah-duh-gwur, the Forger in Chains,
Who bound the dark and broke our chains.
No laughter, no sun, no hollow grace—
Only the forge and the Exile’s face.
The forge and the flame, the exile’s name,
We rise in the dark and burn the same.
