The freezer door Old Fashioned is a great cocktail to have on hand. Not just for yourself, but in case you are having guests over, the unexpected visitor, or you need something quick to take to a gathering! The Old Fashioned is a classic that everyone will enjoy.
Experiment with bourbons and ryes, different amounts of syrups, and different flavors of bitters as well. All of these can make a huge impact on the overall flavor and how you enjoy your Old Fashioned.
Grocery Cart:
1 Liter of your favorite bourbon ( i used makers mark)
6 oz of simple syrup
-5 oz bitters ( iused 3 of orange, and 2 of black walnut)
1.5 oz water
First you need to remove 11oz of bourbon from the bottle, save this for something else. Next add in the simple syrup, bitters, and water. Put the top back on, shake it up a bit, and put it into your freezer. Your cocktail is ready to go!
