We got the company's origin story from owner Michael Bouvier, who combined his age-old love for drums with his skills as a cabinetmaker in his new enterprise. You can see how Bouvier's day job involves a lot custom finish work, which manifests itself in his uniquely carved, burned, and otherwise distressed shells. We often saw more than one finishing technique applied to a single shell among his collection of snare drums and kits. Interesting stuff.
