Описание: This video shows the repair I made to the spindle of a D80 Woods mower by welding the key stock in the spindle. The keyway in the spindle was badly deformed so I decided to just weld in a new key stock and use a new or slightly used collar since the other collar was destroyed. After the key was welded in the new collar seemed to fit snugly and was tight after I got it put back together. The mower runs smoothly so I think it should work. This is just how I decided to do it right or wrong. I figured you can always replace the spindle if the repair didn't hold. A new spindle is $480 and also I would have had to buy a new tapered fit collar but I had an old mower that I was able to remove one from and use it for this repair.
