Within the Ford Lommel Proving Ground, one of the most advanced vehicle testing centers in Europe, continuous investments are made to keep the test infrastructure at the highest possible level. In this context, significant works were recently carried out on several test tracks, with a particular focus on Test Track 7.
Test Track 7, also known as the handling road, is one of the most critical test tracks on the site.It is intensively used to evaluate vehicle handling, stability, road holding and overall vehicle control under a wide range of conditions.
The renewal of this track was entrusted to Colas Belgium and executed with exceptionally high precision. Thanks to the expertise of highly skilled engineers and specialized craftsmen working with extreme accuracy, every aspect of the track was delivered within extremely tight tolerances.
From the foundation to the finishing of the asphalt layers, the entire process focused on quality, uniformity and reproducibility. The result is a renewed test track that once again meets the strictest technical requirements and remains essential for reliable and consistent vehicle testing within the Ford Lommel Proving Ground.
