Pilgrims and tourists from all over the world visit this Shrine of the Martyrs at Tyburn. Catholic priests may arrange to celebrate Mass at the altar of the Martyrs.

This was the principal place for execution of London criminals and convicted traitors, including many religious martyrs.
Tyburn's first recorded execution took place in 1196 and the last in 1783.

The executions at Tyburn provided London's most popular and frightful sideshow.
The ritual cruelties and indecencies practised here thrilled and corrupted every class of society.
Along with criminals, saints and martyrs were butchered on Tyburn Tree.
