Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) witnessed a significant downturn in its financial performance for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year. The company reported a stark decline in net profit by 70%, amounting to ₹150 crore compared to ₹508 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue also experienced a marginal decrease of 2%, totaling ₹2,527 crore compared to ₹2,587 crore year-on-year. Notably, EBITDA witnessed a substantial decrease of 18%, dropping to ₹1,851 crore from ₹2,264 crore in the same period last year. The company's margin saw a reduction, standing at 73.2% compared to 87.5% in the previous year. For the full fiscal year, however, net profit showed a modest increase of 12.94%, reaching ₹1100 crore compared to ₹974 crore in the previous year, while sales rose by 19.63% to ₹9063 crore compared to ₹7576 crore in the previous fiscal year. These results highlight the challenges and fluctuations faced by AGEL in the renewable energy sector amidst evolving market dynamics.
