The Khalis Review | Ep 1 | 'Darkness Defied - Life and Legacy of Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra'

Описание: Welcome to The Khalis Review, where we dive deep into Sikh literature, bringing you stories, history, and ideas that matter.

In this episode, we explore 'Darkness Defied: The Life and Legacy of Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra' by Sardar Ajmer Singh, a profound and deeply researched biography that reveals the fuller story of Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra.

Discover Bhai Khalra beyond his role as a human rights activist to a bold Sikh thinker and organiser, and his fight against state violence in Punjab, including his courageous exposure of thousands of enforced disappearances through crematorium records. Learn about his international advocacy, founding of Liberation Khalistan magazine, and his unwavering dedication to the Sikh struggle despite threats and offers of asylum abroad.

We're also excited to share our collaboration with Singh Brothers, Amritsar, on the complete audiobook edition of 'Darkness Defied', with added commentary, freely available from Khalis House.
