Join me as I walk through the quaint village of Grassington. I walked up the hill towards Conistone and saw some stunning views over the valley. I then walked back down towards Grassington through the woods, finishing off with a drink in the local pub!

Grassington is a popular village in the Yorkshire Dales for walkers. It has a rich history dating back to the Anglo-Saxon period, and was even mentioned in the Domesday book.

Fans of the Channel 5 series ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ may recognise Grassington as the set of the fictional market town, Darrowby.

If history is your thing, keep watching to see the local cave, Cove Hole, where human remains were found, thought to date back to the Iron Age.
