Replacing a tractor fuel filter doesn’t have to be hard. Plus, making sure that your engine is burning good, clean fuel helps to extend the lifespan of your machine. Let ATTRA Specialist Andy Pressman and Farm and Equipment Educator Shane LaBrake walk you through everything you need to change your tractor’s fuel filter.
The tractor that Andy and Shane are working on is a 35 horsepower Ford 1910 from 1985. They go through the whole process of identifying the fuel filter, shutting off the fuel line, replacing the fuel filter, and bleeding the system. Along the way, they drops the tips and tricks that can make this an easier job. Being able to perform the routine maintenance on their tractor helps farmers save money in the long run.
Being the last video in the series, Andy and Shane also share some general thoughts about tractor maintenance (19:37).
