These upgrades have been on my mind for a few years, but were always on the back burner. I believe timing is everything and when the time is right to do something everything falls into place.
Case and point. I had been looking off and on online for older MEC 600 Jr. parts (the steel versions) and when I was looking, wasn't quite finding what I wanted/needed. Post my 366 purchase/build, I decided to once again look for the MEC parts. Sure enough, a seller had exactly the parts I needed (some sellers throw everything in, including the kitchen sink and want a small fortune for everything) at a fair price.
Parts arrived last week in very good condition. I did a good cleaning as well as some bead blasting and cold bluing to make them look almost new. This video covers the before/after of the installation, which was pretty straight forward for the most part. Now all my parts on my MEC 600 Jr. are metal/steel. No more plastic/polymer!
