Remote ID on the DJI Neo

Описание: As drones as used more and more for events, it will be desirable to have a drone that allows for flying over crowds and gatherings. The DJI Neo has some really good features for such a use. With its small size and 4k-30fps, the Neo would be ideal for transitioning over people and recording. In addition to its small physical size and weight, the Neo comes equipped excellent prop guards that fully encapsulate the props making lacerations from them very difficult. Unfortunately, the complete requirement for 'Category 1' Drones (requirement per Part 107) also requires Remote I.D. With remote I.D, the Neo does meet the requirements for Category 1 classification.
This video provides a demonstration of a DJI Neo with a Ruko Remote I.D. installed, and located on the Neo where the effects on performance is likely unaffected. The demonstrations shows the Neo in action in flight and also while using several built-in functions on the Neo.

As for the weight of the Neo with the remote ID module, the total weight is 0.34 lbs. Well below the less than 0.55 lbs required per Part 107 requirements for a Category 1 drone.
