"Smile" is a song based on an instrumental theme used in the soundtrack for the 1936 Charlie Chaplin movie Modern Times. Chaplin composed the music, inspired by Puccini's Tosca.[1] John Turner and Geoffrey Parsons added the lyrics and title in 1954.[2]

A few people mention MJ never wrote this song.. I think all MJ fans know he never. MJ was a huge Charlie Chaplin fan. This may or may not be the best version of the song. But I do feel MJ did do the song justice.
