Last weekend I raced at the English national cross country relays with my club Hern Hill Harriers. It is staged at Berry Hill park in Mansfield and was one of my favourite events last year. So I was very eager to race here again. Mainly because of the course which I love but also because of the atmosphere and the unique team aspect within running.
Men and women running as hard as they can for each other for valuable seconds that will hopefully see them crowned champions of England. The day lived up to expectations and it was another really enjoyable day out. One of the best days for grass roots athletics.
