The Taper Angle Control (TAC) feature of IGEMS can be used in conjunction with our APEX 60 5-axis head to help reduce the amount of taper on a part. Taper is an inherent characteristic of the waterjet process. The faster you cut, the more taper there will be; the slower you cut, the straighter the edge will be. If you know the amount of taper at various speeds, the IGEMS software can tilt the 5-axis head slightly to adjust for this taper angle.
