A young woman growing up in a slum in Mumbai navigates a number of challenges, including limited access to water and toilets, sexual harassment, insufficient street lighting, and tight living quarters that make privacy nearly impossible.

With the support of ActionAid and our local partners, a group of young women are building a different future for themselves. They're identifying daily threats to their safety and demanding change from local government officials. In the process they are bringing home what they learn and slowly changing power structures within their own communities.
