IS AN OLD MAN EMU LEAF SPRING UPGRADE WORTH THE MONEY??

Описание: We have upgraded the suspension on our 2021 Chevy Colorado ZR2 AEV Bison.

With all of the overland and camping equipment plush the Decked Drawer System and ARE Bed Topper, the truck has a bunch of extra weight. That being the case, we have noticed that the rear was sagging a little, or at least the truck was squatted.

We took some measurements and the rear was about 1 ¼ inches lower that the front when measure from the ground, up through the center of the wheels, to the bottom of the fender flairs.

The kit comes with two expedition leaf springs, two packs of bushings, new u-bolts (did not use, video tells why), and a bolt for the driver’s side leaf sprint front brocket (you will see why).

The job was not super difficult. This vehicle is a truck of firsts, because this is the first time I had ever changed out leaf springs. I did the job in my driveway, and I only had to go to the store once for extra tools 😊

Overall, I am very happy with the outcome. I have gotten a little over 2” of list with the new springs. I am sure they will drop a little after they break in, but now when I load up the truck for camping, I should be level instead of having that squat!
