British composer, Errollyn Wallen CBE defies classification, moving effortlessly between classical, jazz, pop, and spiritual traditions as a pioneering composer, pianist, and singer-songwriter. A tireless advocate for inclusion in music, she was the first Black woman to have a work performed at the BBC Proms and, in 2024, she became the first Black woman appointed as Master of the King’s Music.
