3. Build an Alter for your ancestors, finding out their favorite foods, scents, and things
Don't forget to fully commit yourself to this connection because the ancestors were once real people and are now real spirits. Make sure to treat your ancestors as if they have feelings, because they do. The ancestors love Us and there is no reason to be afraid of them, rather love them and trust them to guide and protect. Be aware of any negative energy that does not seem welcoming, but be able to distinguish this negative energy from the fear of connecting with spirit in general.
